Often we see windows that don't offer much recess in which to offer an acceptable "inside mount" solution for our customers. Horizontal blinds and most shades have larger headrails that appear bulky in the window frame. Another challenge with the larger headrails is the shade gets pulled out of the shallow window recess, into the room, creating more light leakage and more of a privacy loss.
Shutters, draperies or roman shades mounted on the outside are a great solution for these scenarios. However, they can protrude out into the room more that some care to have.
This window casing, which we often see, offers only a 5/8" recess. That's not much to work with. Too many times we see shades mounted into the actual window structure. That's not good! This doesn't provide proper support for the shade and it could void your window's warranty.
ShadeCraft offers a great solution with a honeycomb shade application. We can fit our honeycomb shade in the space afforded while maintaining minimal protrusion from the face of the window trim.
This application provides a great look that works with the room. They stack tightly out of the way when you want an open view.
The fabric can come with light filtering or room darkening fabrics to fit your taste. This specific application offers the popular "top-down bottom-up" feature. This makes them very versatile when controlling the amount of light or privacy.
Honeycomb shade are also a low maintenance and affordable treatment for your home.
